What Meetings & Events Can I Attend?
The Bureau of Cannabis Control, CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing, Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch, and other state agencies regularly schedule meetings, workshops, public hearings, and other events for those interested in becoming involved in California’s regulated cannabis industry. Public attendance is welcomed at these events. Details for these events, including dates and times, are listed below. Go-Biz Community Reinvestment Grants Program Workshops
Join the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) for a workshop on the new California Community Reinvestment Grants program. This program will provide grants to community based non-profit organizations and local health departments to support the following activities for communities disproportionately affected by past federal and state drug policies:
- Job placement
- Mental health treatment
- Substance use disorder treatment
- System navigation services
- Legal services to address barriers to reentry
- Linkages to medical care
GO-Biz will discuss the parameters of the program and solicit input and feedback from workshop attendees with respect to the development and implementation of the program. Representatives from local health departments, community based-nonprofit organizations, community leaders and other stakeholders are encouraged to attend.

Cannabis Cultivation Permitting Workshops
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) are hosting three cannabis permitting workshops in Southern California open to cannabis cultivators, consultants, and anyone interested in the topics covered.
The workshops will include presentations from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the State Water Resources Control Board on the requirements and process of obtaining proper permits for cannabis grows. Workshop attendees will have time to talk with agency staff about individual projects. Representatives from the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing Division and county permitting and planning departments will also be available to answer questions.

Cannabis Control Appeals Panel Meeting Schedule
The Cannabis Control Appeals Panel (CCAP) is responsible for appeals of any decision by state cannabis licensing authorities relating to the order of any penalty assessment, issuing, denying, transferring, conditioning, suspending or revoking any license provided under MAUCRSA. The CCAP meets as necessary, typically every month. Their meeting schedule is listed in the text below.
