The Bureau of Cannabis Control and the Department of Consumer Affairs’ Cannabis Enforcement Unit (DOI-CEU) today announced enforcement action on two unlicensed cannabis retailers operating out of Southern California.
On Wednesday, June 19, 2019, DOI-CEU served search warrants on “Long Lodge Tribal Enterprises” and “Costa Mesa Church of Mien Tao”, two illegal retailers respectively located at 2000 and 2001 Harbor Blvd. in Costa Mesa. The search warrants resulted in the combined seizure of over $2.7 million in cannabis products.
The Costa Mesa Police Department and the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) assisted DOI-CEU in the serving of these search warrants.
All commercial cannabis activity in California requires a state-issued license from one of the state’s three cannabis licensing authorities.
