Bureau Of Cannabis Control Announces Grant Solicitation For Cannabis Equity Grants Program

Dec 16, 2020

Sacramento, CA – The Bureau of Cannabis Control, in partnership with the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), is pleased to announce that the fiscal year 2020-2021 Grant Solicitation for the Cannabis Equity Grants Program for Local Jurisdictions is now available. The Grant Solicitation, link to the Online Application Portal, an Application User Guide, and required documents can be found at www.business.ca.gov/CEG.

Only eligible local jurisdictions may apply for this grant. Please review the Grant Solicitation prior to starting the online grant application. Applications must be submitted via the online application portal by February 1, 2021, at 11:59 pm.

In accordance with the California Cannabis Equity Act as amended by AB 97 (Stats. 2019, Ch. 40), the Bureau of Cannabis Control entered into an interagency agreement with GO-Biz to administer the Cannabis Equity Grants Program for Local Jurisdictions to aid local equity program efforts to support equity applicants and equity licensees. Offering these grants to support equity programs furthers the state’s goal of reducing barriers to entry into the regulated cannabis industry.
